Delaware Transit Corp. & Downtown Visions Partner on Safety Ambassador Program

The objective of the program is for the Safety Ambassadors to serve the community by providing information to riders about local attractions as well as providing an extra set of eyes and ears while riding the Wilmington Trolley.

Delaware Transit Corp. (DTC) announced its partnership with Downtown Visions for a Safety Ambassador Program. The objective of the program is for the Safety Ambassadors to serve the community by providing information to riders about local attractions as well as providing an extra set of eyes and ears while riding the Wilmington Trolley. Downtown Visions is the non-profit management company for Wilmington’s Downtown Business Improvement District.

Starting Tuesday, September 3, 2013, Downtown Visions Safety Ambassadors will ride Route 32, DART’s Wilmington Trolley, daily providing information and help to riders.

DTC Chief Executive Officer Lauren Skiver stated, “We are excited to partner with Downtown Visions to offer personally delivered information on downtown attractions, as well as provide an additional safety measure to our riders. We look forward to our continued partnership."

“Downtown Visions has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with DART. The Safety Ambassador/Wilmington Trolley program is another example of how this partnership functions to enhance the experience of those who live, work or visit downtown Wilmington," said Martin P. Hageman, executive director of Downtown Visions.
