June 24, 2013
First Transit announced that Atascadero has extended its contract for paratransit and fixed route services. The one-year agreement takes effect on July 1.

Nestled along US 101 in Southern California’s San Luis Obispo County, the city of Atascadero is a small and vibrant community that has trusted First Transit since 1994.

First Transit announced that Atascadero has extended its contract for paratransit and fixed route services. The one-year agreement takes effect on July 1.

First Transit manages a fleet of six buses in Atascadero. The company operates four paratransit routes and one fixed route, providing service to and from the city’s new transit center, which opened in April.

General Manager Terry Gillespie commented, “This contract extension, just like the investment in the new transit center, demonstrates Atascadero’s commitment to sustainable transportation solutions. We would like to thank the entire community for choosing First Transit to maintain your high standards of safety and service.”
