KKCS Appoints Gary Gordon as Associate Vice President

Kal Krishnan Consulting Services, Inc. (KKCS) announced the appointment of Gary Gordon, P.E.,WSO-CSSD as associate vice president based in the northeast.

Gordon has more than 40 years of experience in planning, design, construction, maintenance, operations and safety/security in the transportation industry with a particular focus on freight and passenger railroads, transit systems and intermodal/multimodal operations.

Gordon’s experience is in both the private and public sectors, including the U.S. Army. He is a long time, active member of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association (AREMA) and chairs Committee 12-Rail Transit‘s Subcommittee on Safety and Security.

“I am very excited to bring someone of Gary’s caliber to KKCS. His leadership and experience will be instrumental as we continue to grow, especially in the northeastern market,” said Dev Krishnan, president of KKCS.

Prior to joining KKCS, Gordon served as regional security inspector/subject matter expert for the Transportation Security Administration. He is a former assistant chief engineer design and construction for the Boston & Maine Railroad/Guilford Rail system, which included the Maine Central Railroad and Delaware & Hudson Railway, and the MBTA’s commuter rail operation. He was president, founder and CEO of the former Gordon, Bua & Read, Inc., which was a multimodal transportation engineering firm in the northeast with a focus on railroad and transit systems. Upon the sale of Gordon, Bua & Read, Inc. to TranSystems Corporation, he was regional vice president, managing and leading the operations in the northeast.

Gordon holds a B.S. in civil engineering from Lowell Technological Institute (now the University of Massachusetts Lowell), M.S. in in civil engineering from the University of Maryland and a MBA from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Additionally, he is a registered professional engineer in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and a World Safety Organization – certified safety and security director (Rail Transit) – WSO-CSSD. He continues to publish and present at the annual AREMA Conferences.
