The Virginia Transit Association (VTA) honored Alexandria Transit Company (DASH) on May 31 at its awards luncheon held in conjunction with its annual statewide transit conference in Alexandria, Va.
Alexandria Transit received two awards, the Outstanding Transit Program Award for the development and implementation of the BRAC-133 Mark Center Express Service and for Outstanding Public Transportation Marketing of the King Street Trolley.
A selection committee made up of transit professional from around the State chose DASH based on exceptional programs that are considered innovative and effective by public transportation providers and that advance and expand public transportation in the Commonwealth.
