Parsons Brinckerhoff has been awarded a contract by the Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) to provide the agency with management and technical assistance.

Parsons Brinckerhoff has been awarded a contract by the Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) to provide the agency with management and technical assistance.

Under the on-call contract, Parsons Brinckerhoff will provide professional consulting services to support DDOT transit initiatives, including assistance with identifying strategic opportunities for optimizing transit service delivery under resource constraints, developing technical basis for forming these recommendations, and scoping for the selected initiatives. Current assignments include assisting the DDOT to improve its operations and maintenance programs, technical support for a job access and reverse commute program, development of a capital program asset management strategy, and performing a call center consolidation assessment.

The firm is also consulting on the delivery of new transfer centers at Eastland and Northland along 8 Mile Road in the city of Detroit; Parsons Brinckerhoff will be responsible for the redesign, preparation of construction documents and engineer’s cost estimate for the transfer centers.
