Sun Metro has partnered with the El Paso Public Library as part of the festivities for National Poetry Month to recognize nine local poets beginning this month.
Sun Metro will display the work of poets Bobby Byrd and Rosa Alcalá, and seven local elementary and middle school students on several bus routes throughout the city. The goal of the poetic display is to recognize and shine a light on the artistic talents of fellow El Pasoans.
This effort is in conjunction with festivities for National Poetry Month at the library which will have hundreds of free poetry related events for children, teens and adults this April.
