James Shedaker has been named a principal technical specialist in the Lawrenceville, N.J., office of Parsons Brinckerhoff.

In his new position, Shedaker will serve as an operations specialist on the New Jersey High-Speed Rail Improvement Program, working with Amtrak and NJ Transit staff to develop construction staging plans and coordinate track utilization and power “outages” while maintaining train schedules and on-time performance.

Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, he served as road foreman of engines and head designated supervisor of locomotive engineers, and was a licensed operator and engineer, for the River Line, New Jersey’s light rail system connecting Camden and Trenton.

Mr. Shedaker received an associate’s degree from Burlington County College.
