Bombardier Wins Further Signalling Contract in the Baltics

Bombardier INTERFLO 200 rail control solution to be supplied for a section of the Bolderaja – Zasulauks line in Latvia

Bombardier Transportation, leading a consortium with Belam Riga, has won a contract for the construction and upgrade of the signalling and associated infrastructure systems in the Bolderaja region of Latvia.

Bombardier will deliver its INTERFLO 200 solution to Latvian Railways (LDz) on a section of the Bolderaja – Zasulauks line, which connects the capital city Riga with the Boldoraja and Riga harbour area. The total contract is valued at approximately 9.5 million LVL (€13.6 million; $18.2 million U.S.), with Bombardier’s share valued at approximately 3.7 million LVL (€5.3 million; $7.1 million U.S.).

In addition to the design, installation, testing and commissioning of the INTERFLO 200 mainline solution, Bombardier will supply its Bombardier EBI Lock 950 R4 computer-based interlocking (CBI), EBI Screen 2000 centralized traffic control (CTC), and EBI Gate 2000 level crossing systems. Delivery is scheduled to be completed within 33 months.
