Parsons announces the appointment of Michael “Mike” Johnson as executive vice president and global business development manager of Parsons Transportation Group, Inc. (PTG), effective immediately.
PTG, a primary business unit of Parsons Corporation, is one of the largest providers of management, engineering, and planning services to government transportation agencies and private transportation providers. In his new role, Johnson will lead PTG’s global sales and marketing program.
Johnson joined Parsons in 1989 and has held a succession of positions with increasing responsibilities. His most recent position was senior vice president, strategy development and implementation. In this role, he guided PTG’s mergers and acquisitions activities and oversaw the implementation of the business unit’s strategic initiatives. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president and manager of PTG’s Bridge and Tunnel Division.
“Mike has more than 23 years of experience with Parsons and has served in a business development leadership capacity in each of our markets,” Todd Wager, Parsons Group president said. “I look forward to working with him in his new capacity as we strive to meet our strategic goals and objectives.”
