SinglePoint has announced it will be teaming with GlobeSherpa to provide private transit operators with mobile ticketing solutions. The platform, branded as SinglePASS and powered by TransitSherpa technology, helps reduce the cost of fare collection, allows transit operators to optimize their fleet, and improves the overall rider experience.

SinglePASS is designed to integrate with multiple technologies and payment platforms, as well as with existing infrastructures. Riders can pay for fares using multiple PCI-compliant options, including credit and debit cards, Google Wallet or PayPal. SinglePASS then tracks each transaction and exports .csv or .xml reports.

SinglePASS also lets transit operators manage fares in real time, allowing for service alerts, instant promotions, price adjustments, zone and time stamps, loyalty programs, system-use tracking and more.

"SinglePASS helps us offer the private sector of the transportation market a secure, simple approach to passenger ticketing," explains Rob Taylo, SinglePoint CEO. "We’ve always focused on smart, innovative products that make it easier for our customers to increase ridership, and SinglePASS is a great addition to that portfolio."

"We are delighted to partner with SinglePoint to offer the industry's leading mobile payments and ticketing solution,” adds Nat Parker, GlobeSherpa CEO. “SinglePASS offers a huge convenience to riders while helping transit operators create new efficiencies and intelligence around fare collection."
