SABIC has opened a new branch of its Polymershapes distribution business in Charleston, South Carolina, to deliver faster service and materials solutions to customers throughout the area.

The new branch is located at 7281 Investment Drive, North Charleston, and it joins the existing Columbia, SC branch to form a new South Carolina sales district for Polymershapes.

Polymershapes delivers exceptional distribution and fabrication of semi-finished plastic materials and associated products for a wide range of customers, focusing on four core markets: image, transportation, industrial, and building/construction. Polymershapes serves customers via the industry's largest distribution network, now totaling more than 70 branches throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Chile.

Pete Arvan, general manager, Polymershapes, said the new sales district comprised by the Charleston and Columbia branches will provide customers throughout South Carolina and the Savannah, GA, areas with improved access to Polymershapes' wide range of plastic sheet, rod, tube and film materials.

"We have a number of important customers in this area, and are continually seeking ways to help them grow their businesses," Arvan said. "The creation of the new sales district will enable us to meet their needs even more effectively, with increased inventory, shorter lead times, and more capabilities to serve both existing and new customers."

The Charleston branch is led by Walter Fulmer, who has been named district manager, with responsibility for the Charleston and Columbia locations. Drew Bridges joins Polymershapes as Charleston's customer service manager. The branch reports to Phil Sahley, Southeast region manager.

"Our customers can rely on the Charleston branch team to deliver materials knowledge, industry experience, and a service-oriented mindset aimed at fostering their success and helping them strengthen their competitive advantages," Arvan said.
