Delcan Welcomes David Chabanon to its Rail and Transit Group

Delcan is pleased to welcome David Chabanon as a senior principal, to serve as Delcan’s senior communications-based train control (CBTC) expert for United States rail and transit projects.

Delcan is pleased to welcome David Chabanon as a senior principal, to serve as Delcan’s senior communications-based train control (CBTC) expert for United States rail and transit projects. He will also operate as Delcan’s business development lead for rail and transit signaling and train control.

Chabanon, originally from Paris, France, brings more than 14 years of engineering experience and project management in the railway transit industry with a focus on new technology systems implementation, including CBTC and driverless systems (UTO). His experience includes project management and leading technical roles for signaling projects in the United States, Europe and Asia.

“The hiring of David Chabanon takes us one step closer to becoming a leading train control service provider in North America, one of the key targets in our 2015 Strategic Plan,” said Brian Stearman, president of Delcan’s Infrastructure Business, National Operations. “I am thrilled at having this caliber of professional join our team.”

Chabanon received his Master of Science in engineering from the University of Technology, Compiegne in France and his Bachelor of Science in mathematics, physics and chemistry from the University of Paris in France.
