First Transit, Inc., a private provider of transit management and contracting services, recently had its contract renewed by the City of Sierra Madre, Calif., for the operation of paratransit service. The company has held this contract with the city since 1991, and provides transit service to more than 9,500 riders annually. The contract will be for an additional three years. "Our relationship with the city and its citizens is very important to us and having a contract for more than 20 years at one location is something my team takes great pride in. We look forward to continuing to provide our riders with safe and reliable paratransit service throughout the city."
