Travel Catering and Comfort Services on Display at InnoTrans 2012

Aug. 20, 2012
InnoTrans provides an opportunity for the providers of catering services or manufacturers of on-board kitchen equipment to stage their presentations in front of more than 100,000 trade visitors from all over the world.

Whether on local routes or long distance services, passengers should be able to enjoy every part of the journey. A balanced range of high quality food and beverages and the highest standards of service for rail passengers are all decisive factors. Future concepts for on-board service and enhanced passenger comfort are being displayed by international exhibitors in the Interiors section of the trade fair from September 18-21 at InnoTrans in Berlin.

LSG Sky Chefs present a new on-board service for trains

The company that claims to be the world's largest supplier of airline catering, LSG Sky Chefs, is exhibiting at InnoTrans for the first time, using this trade show as an international marketing platform in order to inform the public about its expansion into the rail sector. "We are convinced that the train market offers huge opportunities for LSG Sky Chefs," said CEO Walter Gehl. "In applying our longstanding experience and high culinary expertise, we are highly committed to enhance the train passenger's travel experience with new product and service ideas. We are excited to be participating at InnoTrans 2012 for the first time."

InnoTrans provides an opportunity for the providers of catering services, such as LSG Sky Chefs and Multi Rail, or manufacturers of on-board kitchen equipment, including such companies as Kelox and Kiesel, to stage their presentations in front of more than 100,000 trade visitors from all over the world. The products on show in this area range from food and beverages to kitchen equipment and service accessories as well as disposable and reusable tableware. Also included in the portfolio are comfort items such as cushions, blankets and care sets.

The Travel Catering & Comfort Services display is incorporated in the Interiors segment of InnoTrans. With more than 250 exhibitors and a display area that has expanded by 24 per cent since InnoTrans 2010, the Interiors segment has now acquired the status of a leading trade fair in its own right. For the first time exhibitors in this field will be displaying their latest products in three fully occupied halls (Nos. 1.1, 3.1 and 5.1). The main advantage for exhibitors and trade visitors is the direct link with the new Public Transport & Interiors Hall Forum, a specialist event that is taking place in Hall 6.1 as part of the InnoTrans Convention.
