RTA offers inside-out learning experiences for new and long-time customers through this program.

A long-awaited 'RTA on the Road' mobile training bus debuted August 3, during downtown Dayton, Ohio's First Friday event. The First Friday unveiling is the first in a series of RTA on the Road Fridays in August planned by Greater Dayton RTA to introduce its new training vehicle. First Friday is a monthly event sponsored by the Downtown Dayton Partnership.

RTA offers inside-out learning experiences for new and long-time customers through this program. And the RTA on the Road bus and training team will make it easier for visitors to learn how to make the most of their RTA riding experience.

"We want to pique the interest of a visitor who has never taken RTA, while also creating a memorable impression," said Marketing Manager Sabrina Pritchett. "RTA has made great leaps in using technology to connect to our customers and the training bus gives us an opportunity to showcase demos, displays and live presentations that allow customers to make the most of riding RTA."

More than two years in development, the RTA on the Road outreach and educational vehicle is a floor-to-ceiling learning environment with specially designed features, including interactive training kiosks for customers to connect to RTA's website, onboard LCD video monitors to provide visual training support, a 46-inch video monitor mounted outside the bus, and a complete outside station to ensure that everyone who attends an RTA on the Road event can be involved and discover all there is to know about riding RTA.

Besides RTA on the Road Fridays, the bus and crew will visit additional area events, including Sinclair Community College's Welcome Week Carnival on August 29 and Dayton's Urban Nights on September 14.
