Nathan M. Macek Joins Parsons Brinckerhoff

Macek will be responsible for expanding Parsons Brinckerhoff's consulting practice in transport project development and finance.

Nathan M. Macek has been named a Principal Consultant in the Washington, D.C. office of Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global infrastructure strategic consulting, planning, engineering and program/construction management organization.

In his new position, Mr. Macek will be responsible for expanding Parsons Brinckerhoff's consulting practice in transport project development and finance. He has more than a decade of experience performing financial analyses; policy analyses; and planning studies for transit systems, highways, toll roads, and other infrastructure.

Mr. Macek is a specialist in developing financial plans for Federal Transit Administration (FTA) New Starts projects. He has also developed financial plans for transit alternatives analyses and environmental clearance studies, TIGER grant applications, and Small Starts projects. Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, Mr. Macek served as a consulting manager for a large engineering firm.

Mr. Macek has authored papers and made industry presentations on transportation planning and financing to the National Cooperative Highway Research Program and the Transportation Research Board (TRB), as well as for national and regional agencies. He holds a master of regional planning degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a bachelor of arts in political economy from Michigan State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, a member of the TRB Revenue and Finance Committee, and chair of the City of Alexandria, Virginia Waterfront Commission.
