Alexander King Joins Parsons Brinckerhoff

King will be responsible for developing freight and goods movement studies, rail plans, corridor plans, intermodal feasibility studies, grant applications, and passenger rail service development plans.

Alexander King has been named a consultant in the strategic consulting group of Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global infrastructure strategic consulting, planning, engineering and program/construction management organization. 

In his new position, Mr. King will be responsible for developing freight and goods movement studies, rail plans, corridor plans, intermodal feasibility studies, grant applications, and passenger rail service development plans. He will be based in the firm's Glastonbury, Connecticut office.

Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, Mr. King worked as a senior freight planner and analyst at a transportation consulting firm. His areas of expertise include transportation operations, costing, market analysis, supply chain management, financial analysis, and benefit-cost analysis. He has participated in state rail plans, state and regional freight and goods movement studies, intermodal terminal and inland port feasibility studies, as well as a variety of other projects.

Mr. King holds an M.B.A. degree from the University of Maryland and a B.A. from Brown University.
