First Transit Awarded Paratransit Contract in Louisville

The company will oversee the operation of the paratransit service for TARC beginning Oct. 1, 2012. This contract includes the management of 180 employees and the operation of 91 vehicles, which safely transport 350,000 passengers each year.

First Transit, Inc., a leading private provider of transit management and contracting services, was recently awarded the paratransit contract for the Transit Authority of River City (TARC) in Louisville, Ky. The company will oversee the operation of the paratransit service beginning Oct. 1, 2012. This contract includes the management of 180 employees and the operation of 91 vehicles, which safely transport 350,000 passengers each year.
