Cables To Go, a provider of high performance cabling and connectivity solutions, announces the most significant platform iteration to the RapidRun product line since its introduction in 2005.

RapidRun Multi-Format features enhanced engineering that includes individually shielded pairs and an isolated ground for audio lines. These upgrades help meet the rigorous demand for applications typically found in a classroom, conference room or other, similar commercial environments. RapidRun Multi-Format excels in delivering crisp video and high fidelity audio from source to display in applications where multiple source devices (e.g. laptop, computer, DVD player) utilize various signal outputs (VGA, 3.5mm audio, composite video and dual RCA audio).

“From the beginning RapidRun has set the standard for modular cabling solutions. The new RapidRun Multi-Format products address customers’ requirements for today’s A/V applications where content is delivered from multiple sources to a single display such as a projector, monitor or HDTV. As equipment transitions from analog to digital inputs/outputs, this line and future enhancements also provide a convenient upgrade path to help plan for changes being brought about by the Analog Sunset,” said Garry Dukes, director of product management for Lastar, parent company of Cables To Go.

The “Analog Sunset”, the A/V industry’s current trend of eliminating analog signals from devices is expected to be completed in 2014. Digital solutions are being developed to expand the RapidRun Multi-Format line. These solutions make this innovative system ideal for environments where analog equipment will eventually be upgraded to digital.
