GoLive Gives Riders Real-Time Arrival Predictions Via Smartphones or Computers

GoTriangle, an information partnership of regional public transportation agencies and organizations, will launch GoLive, a free automated tool that provides public transportation riders with real-time arrival predictions. GoLive will be on the first regional, multi-vendor, real-time project in the nation that integrates several transit agencies trip information into one mobile and web interface which allows for the seamless planning of trips using public transportation in the Triangle region. TransLoc, a Triangle-based company, developed this technology.

GoLive will provide real-time location for Triangle Transit, Chapel Hill Transit, Durham Area Transit Authority, Capital Area Transit and North Carolina State University’s Wolfline buses. Cary’s transit system, C-Tran, will be available on GoLive in late fall.
