Kirk Hunt Joins Parsons Brinckerhoff

In his new position, Hunt is serving as a field project manager for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) on the Dulles Corridor Metrorail project, an 11-mile extension of the WMATA system to Dulles Airport.

Kirk Hunt has been named a Technical Manager in the Newark, N.J. office of Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global infrastructure strategic consulting, planning, engineering and program/construction management organization. In his new position, Hunt is serving as a field project manager for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) on the Dulles Corridor Metrorail project, an 11-mile extension of the WMATA system to Dulles Airport.

Hunt has 28 years of experience in the transit industry, with specific expertise in program management of major rail capital programs, project management for facility design, operations management and vehicle maintenance and overhaul. Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, he served in positions as project manager and industrial designer for transit facility design, and force account/third party construction coordinator on the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's East Side Access Project in New York City. He previously served as Superintendent of Maintenance for New Jersey Transit's bus maintenance operations.

Hunt holds an MBA in finance/operations from Rutgers University and a B.S. in natural resource administration from Michigan State University.
