Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley will deliver a keynote address on Tuesday, October 11 at 2:30 pm at the premier U.S. clean truck event, the HTUF National Conference & Expo 2011 (htuf2011.org) in Baltimore.

Governor O'Malley is expected to discuss the success of programs like the Maryland Hybrid Truck Initiative (MHTI), helping fleets make the switch to cleaner, green technologies.

The HTUF event is expected to draw 800 attendees from fleet professionals, suppliers, truck manufacturers and other stakeholders to the Baltimore Convention Center October 10-13, 2011. The world's largest Ride and Drive of these vehicles will give attendees and media the opportunity to get behind the wheels of these vehicles, and experience some of the newest available clean technologies in this sector.

In its 11th year, HTUF leads the nation in driving the production and use of medium- and heavy-duty electric, hybrid and high-efficiency trucks and buses. Founded by CALSTART and the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center's National Automotive Center (TARDEC), HTUF is operated by CALSTART under contract to the U.S. Army.
