Systra is pleased to announce that Yakov Strizhevsky, P.E. has joined the firm's Electrical Engineering and Power Group as senior catenary engineer.

Systra is pleased to announce that Yakov Strizhevsky, P.E. has joined the firm's Electrical Engineering and Power Group as senior catenary engineer. Yakov is thrilled to join Systra, performing engineering, design, construction inspection and quality control design services for the firm's domestic and international transit and electrification projects.

An industry leader, Yakov brings more than 25 years of experience in heavy rail transit, commuter rail transit and railroad electrification including state-of-the-art catenary technologies. A licensed professional engineer, Yakov has a Master's degree in civil engineering from the Institute of Civil and Hydraulic Engineers.

"Yakov's range of expertise and experience in designing catenary and OCS will be a great asset to our clients," noted David Male, PE, chief engineer. Yakov is already applying his familiarity with Amtrak electric traction to Systra's contract which supports the Moynihan Station Development Corp. (MSDC), reviewing catenary designs created under the Farley construction program.
