The City of Plymouth Extends Long-Time Relationship With First Transit

First Transit continues operations management for Plymouth MetroLink.

First Transit Inc., and the city of Plymouth, Minn., have agreed to a renewal of their current contract for the operation and management of its Plymouth MetroLink service. Since 1989, First Transit has operated fixed-route and paratransit service for the residents of Plymouth . First Transit employs 48 employees and oversees the operation of 37 buses. More than 470,000 people ride MetroLink annually, connecting them to many points throughout the twin cities region.

"We are pleased to continue this strong relationship with the city and its citizens," said Paul Buharin, general manager, First Transit. "Providing safe and reliable transportation for our passengers is our main focus and something we have taken great pride in for the last 22 years."

First Transit provides complete operations and transit management services, as well as comprehensive preventative maintenance and inspection programs to meet customer transportation and budgetary needs.
