SamTrans Kicks-off Study with New Website

June 9, 2011
SamTrans has launched a new website that will be used to keep the public informed and to gather input during the process.

As a first step in an in-depth study of its bus service, SamTrans has launched a new website that will be used to keep the public informed and to gather input during the process. The dedicated website can be reached from a landing page on the SamTrans website: www.samtrans.com/ssp.

The San Mateo County Transit District is taking a close look at how to best meet the community's changing needs while making the most of its resources.

Identified as a key initiative in the Transit District's Strategic Plan, the SamTrans Service Plan will assess the efficiency of SamTrans' current system and identify areas for improvement and new markets for future growth.

The website will be a resource for all project-related information, including study materials, as well as future public meeting dates and times.

In addition to the website, information will be available on SamTrans buses and on SamTrans' Facebook page and Twitter feed. The public can also call the project message line at 650-508-6338 (for English and Spanish speakers) or send comments by email to [email protected].
