Mincom, a global provider of software and services to asset-intensive industries, has announced a significant upgrade agreement with customer Fort Worth Transportation Authority (also known as The T), a regional transportation authority of the state of Texas. The T provides nearly nine million passenger trips on public transportation in the Fort Worth and Tarrant County area with buses, vanpools and a commuter railroad jointly owned with another agency.
By upgrading its implementation of Mincom Ellipse software for enterprise asset and work management, human resources, financials and supply chain management, The T can further optimize the entire asset lifecycle of its equipment and infrastructure.
The T will upgrade to a newer version of Mincom Ellipse following six years of successfully using the platform to gain a complete, end-to-end view of the organization's asset infrastructure and the workforce maintaining it. This will enable The T to drive further productivity and efficiency gains from the preventative maintenance of its 200 buses, vans, utility vehicles and other assets, as well as five train stations, a central maintenance facility, a downtown intermodal transportation center, a bus transfer center and 2,500 active bus stops and service stations.

In addition to upgrading its EAM platform, the T will continue to use the full suite of Mincom Ellipse ERP solutions, including Mincom Ellipse Intelligent Workforce Deployment to oversee administrative processes of its 500 employees, Mincom Ellipse Financial Management to record its financial transactions during the asset life cycle, and Mincom Ellipse Supply Chain Management to track critical inventory so that correct spare parts are available for maintenance operations.
