WA: Twin Transit Pitches Countywide Expansion to Twin Cities

Centralia and Chehalis are already part of Twin Transit, but General Manager Derrick Wojcik-Damers is seeking the Twin Cities’ support as he pitches bus service expansion to the rest of Lewis County. 

Wojcik-Damers presented Twin Transit’s expansion plan to the city councils in both cities this week, making the case that countywide expansion is financially possible and will benefit local residents. 

Twin Transit says it can offer bus service to Tumwater, add a route to Winlock, Toledo and Vader, as well as occasional service to Kelso and dial-a-ride access to Pe Ell and Doty. That’s in addition to taking on the East Lewis County routes that will cease service when current provider Lewis Mountain Highway Transit shuts down in 2019.
