Pasadena’s Department of Transportation (DOT) is recommending additional trips for Pasadena Transit buses, including Sunday operations, and increasing Pasadena Dial-a-Ride’s annual service hours by 15 percent. These recommendations will be part of an update to the City’s Short Range Transit Plan (SRTP) that the DOT is presenting before the City’s Northwest Commission on Tuesday, September 12.

The SRTP is a document that guides the next five years of programming of transit service development and investments for Pasadena Transit and Pasadena Dial-A-Ride. It follows a regionally and federally mandated process and is necessary for the City to continue to receive funding through Metro and the Federal Transit Administration.

In 2013, the last SRTP update provided several key recommendations that were successfully implemented, including increased frequency of service on Pasadena Transit Routes 10, 20, and 31/32.
