Following last week's train-pedestrian accident that killed 15-year-old Shariah Casper, the Utah Transit Authority has decided to scale back rail-corridor sound walls at intersections where the barriers hamper visibility. UTA is considering whether additional steps need to be taken to bolster the safety of the mid-Jordan TRAX line due to open Aug. 7.
