Release date- 03052011 - Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, - New Flyer Industries Inc. (TSX:NFI.UN) ('New Flyer' or the 'Company'), the leading manufacturer of heavy-duty transit buses in Canada and the United States, is pleased to announce that New Flyer Industries Canada ULC, its Canadian operating subsidiary, has appointed A. Girardin Inc. of Drummondville, Quebec, as the exclusive distributor of New Flyer buses in the Province of Quebec.

'Girardin is a great company with a long history of manufacturing and distributing high-quality products, and has values and customer service principles similar to those of New Flyer' said Paul Soubry, New Flyer's President and Chief Executive Officer. 'This agreement allows New Flyer to sell and support our products, particularly our state-of-the-art Xcelsior model, to customers that we may not have been able to reach in the past.'

Girardin, a manufacturer of school and shuttle buses and distributor for several other brands of medium-duty buses, has also been appointed as New Flyer's exclusive distributor of transit buses to a range of private bus operators across Canada.

New Flyer, headquartered in Winnipeg, has been delivering buses to Canadian customers since 1930. This agreement allows New Flyer to maintain the strong relationships directly with its existing Canadian transit customers, while allowing Girardin to introduce New Flyer to a new group of customers. Soubry went on to say, 'The agreement goes beyond selling buses and also encompasses Girardin providing spare parts, training, publications and other services to those customers.'

In turn, the addition of New Flyer buses to Girardin's line of products, which currently includes smaller Girardin minibuses and Blue Bird school and shuttle buses, will permit Girardin to offer a more comprehensive product portfolio to its customers.

'We are very pleased to be associated with New Flyer,' said Dave Girardin, President of A. Girardin Inc. 'This agreement will now allow us to offer the most complete line of high-end transit buses. Without a doubt, the addition of New Flyer, and specifically Xcelsior, to our product offering will benefit both our customers and our business.'
