NOVEKO INTERNATIONAL INC ("EKO-T") - The Societe de transport de Montreal (STM) Selects Noveko(TM) - Filtration Solutions for its Transportation Centres

Noveko International Inc. (the "Company") is pleased to announce that the Societe de transport de Montreal (the "STM") has selected Noveko(TM) filtration solutions to equip its transportation centres housing the vehicle operation and maintenance related activities.

To that end, the Company and the STM have entered into two first three-year agreements covering the supply and cleaning of filters for the Anjou and St-Denis transportation centres. This initial collaboration follows a period of conclusive tests conducted at the Anjou transportation centre.

"We are very pleased to partner with the STM, a leader in the mass transit industry that, over the years, has always stood apart for its innovative choices. After four months of use, Noveko(TM) filters once again proved superior in terms of effectiveness and durability. Our cleanable and recyclable filtration solutions will undoubtedly contribute to the achievement of the STM's objectives of reducing its ecological footprint, which makes us particularly proud," indicated Mr. Simon Labrecque, Vice-President, Filtration, Noveko. "This initial partnership also fits with our business plan of consolidating our position as a provider of filtration solutions in the transportation and building markets."

"At the STM, our commitment to sustainable development is an integral part of our practices and it is for this reason that we opted for Noveko(TM) filtration solutions. We made this choice to ensure our buildings are greener thanks notably to the major reduction in filtration waste that will arise from their use. And because we constantly strive to reduce residual materials, the costs related to their elimination and our energy expenses, Noveko(TM) filters could also be used in our other transportation centres and buildings," added Ms. Odile Paradis, Senior Manager, Public Affairs of the STM.

About the STM

The STM is the 14th largest company in the Province of Quebec. In 2010, it ensured more than 390 million bus, metro and paratransit trips in the Montreal area, representing approximately 70% of the public transit in Quebec. The STM's overall network covers 68 metro stations and comprises a fleet of 759 metro cars, 1,680 buses and several buildings, including notably eight transportation centres and a major maintenance centre for its vehicles, namely the Cremazie facility. In 2010, the STM received the American Public Transportation Association award as Outstanding Public Transportation System in North America for its excellent results in terms of effectiveness and efficiency.

About Noveko(TM) Filtration Solutions

The filters incorporating Noveko's patented technologies consist of multiple layers of synthetic fibre built into a rigid aluminum framework, making them perfectly leak-proof and resistant to variations in temperature and humidity. Their superior filtration effectiveness enables users to achieve energy savings related to their ventilation systems. Their increased durability, combined with the fact that they are cleanable and recyclable, significantly reduces the number of filters used and the costs associated with their replacement and the elimination of waste, making them an ideal eco-friendly solution. It is notably the incorporation of antimicrobial agents into the filter fibres, thanks to Noveko's patented antimicrobial filtration technology, that protects the filters against deterioration due to the action of microorganisms and accounts for their cleanability and durability.
