Commuter Advertising Earns Soin Innovation Award

Commuter Advertising Inc. was named the winner of the 2011 Soin Award for Innovation on Tuesday at the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce's annual meeting. Founded in 2008, the Dayton-based company was the first provider of short-form, location-based audio advertising on transit buses and trains. It now has nine contracts in seven cities, reaching 82 million transit riders annually. Commuter Advertising received a $25,000 cash award from the DACC, plus media support from the Berry Company and Cox Media Group Ohio.
