William Spraul named Cincinnati Metro's vice president of operations

William Spraul re-joined Metro as its new vice president of operations on Sept. 5. In this role, Spraul will be responsible for delivering Metro’s fixed-route, Access Paratransit and MetroNow! on-demand services to ensure operational excellence. This includes oversight of Metro’s operations staff and operators, as well as the Customer Care Center, Safety & Security, Risk and Performance Management departments.

Spraul has more than 35 years of transit operations management experience specializing in fixed-route transportation, maintenance and paratransit in both the private and public sectors. He most recently served as Region Vice President for Transdev North America, Inc. in addition to serving in transit leadership roles that include chief operating officer at the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System. He began his transit career with Metro in 1982 as Fleet Manager and served in maintenance and operations-related roles during his 30-year career at the agency, including leading the agency’s fixed-route service as director of transit operations.
