Robert Kyle joins San Joaquin RTD as new CFO

Kyle brings more than 24 years of experience in financial leadership positions, most recently serving as CFO for a manufacturing plant in Stockton.

Robert Kyle has joined the San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) as the newest member of the executive leadership team. As chief financial officer, Kyle will oversee San Joaquin RTD’s operating and capital budgets, financial reporting, grants and procurement. 

Kyle brings more than 24 years of experience in financial leadership positions, most recently serving as CFO for a manufacturing plant in Stockton, Calif. Prior to that, he worked as a contractor in Kabul, Afghanistan, for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) as the director of finance where he was involved in two notable projects: Sika South (Stabilization in Key Areas) and ACEP (Afghanistan Clean Energy Program).

Kyle is dual licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). He is a six-year U.S. Army veteran having assignments in South Korean, West Germany and Georgia, U.S.
