Lextran extends Transdev’s contract for five years

The partnership between Lextran and Transdev stretches more than 20 years.

Lextran, which serves an average of 3.95 million trips in Lexington, Ky., has extended Transdev’s contract with Lextran Management for five additional years. The two entities have a partnership that started more than 20 years ago.

Transdev explains General Manager Jill Barnett and Assistant General Manager Byron Robinson bring their extensive transit expertise to the table as part of the management contract.

“We have great leadership in place on this contract and together with Lextran, we remain focused on bringing safe, efficient and reliable service to our passengers,” said Transdev U.S. Northeast Regional Vice President Justin Augustine. “It’s what people expect and what they deserve.”

He continued, “Through our partnership, Transdev continues to offer insights into best practices, evaluate new technology options and leverage our safety expertise – all things which ultimately benefit Lextran and our passengers – ensuring a consistent, positive and safe customer experience on every trip.”
