Oct. 11, 2021
In his new role, Euting will play a key role in driving the success of Arup’s internal Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Three-Year Action Plan — a set of commitments to make equity, diversity and inclusion a fundamental part of the firm’s operations.

Eric Euting has joined Arup as the equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) director for the Americas region.

Euting will lead and progress Arup’s goals towards shaping a better and more equitable world by upholding the firm’s internal EDI agenda, supporting external EDI business practices and ensuring Arup honors its EDI commitments cross-organization.

Euting is an experienced EDI and organizational change leader. He comes to Arup after eight years at Deloitte as a leader in its EDI Consulting Practice, where he helped organizations build and refine their EDI strategies, trained executives on unconscious bias and inclusive leadership, developed innovative tools to support courageous conversations around inclusion and inclusive language and built EDI roadmaps for implementation.

As EDI director, Euting will play a key role in driving the success of Arup’s internal EDI Three-Year Action Plan — a set of commitments to make equity, diversity and inclusion a fundamental part of the firm’s operations.

“My vision for Arup is to be recognized as a leader in equity, diversity and inclusion — and not just in the AEC industry, but in all industries,” Euting said. “We want an Arup where all members not only feel they belong and can thrive, but also that our work helps deliver just and sustainable outcomes across the built environment.”

Arup’s EDI objectives include:

  • Diversifying Arup’s membership by expanding recruiting efforts across all levels with a focus on underrepresented groups.
  • Enabling A to thrive by continuing to build and maintain an inclusive workplace.
  • Transforming communities by embedding an equitable approach into projects and partnerships.
