Bacarra Mauldin joins MATA as chief of staff

Mauldin will provide strategic leadership and the framework to support day-to-day operations, project management and execution of strategic initiatives to ensure the continued growth and efficiency of the organization.

Bacarra Mauldin has been selected to be the new chief of staff for the Memphis Area Transportation Authority (MATA). 

In this position, Mauldin will provide strategic leadership and the framework to support day-to-day operations, project management and execution of strategic initiatives to ensure the continued growth and efficiency of the organization.  

“Bacarra Mauldin brings a wealth of experience and unique perspective to further advance our strategic priorities, goals and initiatives,” said MATA CEO Gary Rosenfeld, “Her leadership and experience is invaluable as our organization works to expand high quality, efficient service to the community."  

Mauldin is a senior executive with 16 years of diverse experience in public transit, public administration, municipal government, grants administration and business operations.

Mauldin is active in the American Public Transportation Association and the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials and she has held leadership positions and received numerous association and civic awards for her service and accomplishments. She holds a Master of Science in Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Faulkner University.
