MATA names Tiffany Casey as director of performance improvement

In her new role, Casey will focus on improving processes and focusing on performance initiatives.

The Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) has selected Tiffany Casey to fill a new role as director of performance improvement.

Prior to this role, Casey served in other roles at MATA as director of transit operations, senior manager of customer experience and as lead technical writer/interim project leader.

Prior to joining MATA, Casey served as senior vice president of Shane Transportation, Inc., a joint-venture with Laidlaw Transit-North America (now First Transit-North America). She also held senior positions with Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, Southwest Tennessee Community College and Junior Achievement of the Mid-South.

“Tiffany brings a wealth of experience to this new role,” said MATA COO Ted Harris. “As we continue to focus our energies on improving the level of service delivered to our customers, this role is key to setting goals, developing measures, determining performance targets, allocating resources and evaluating results using business plans as a tool.”

Casey holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Memphis and a master of education degree in instructional technology from the University of Maryland.
