The Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission and Milwaukee County have begun a North-South Transit Enhancement Study along and near 27th Street in Milwaukee, Wisc.

The study will analyze the feasibility of options that would enhance transit service, increase frequency, reduce travel times, add amenities and potentially expand the existing Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) Purple Line service area. Both rail and bus services will be evaluated.

The public is invited to the first round of virtual public meetings for the study on Feb. 23 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 24 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Participants will learn more about existing transit in the corridor, the purpose and goals for the study, project timelines and have opportunities to provide feedback.
