Jeff Garte has joined Transit Wireless as the company’s chief financial officer.

In his senior leadership role, Garte will drive financial strategy to facilitate the company’s growing 5G infrastructure buildouts and support its expanding public-private partnerships. Garte is based in New York City and will report directly to Melinda White, CEO of Transit Wireless.

“With Jeff’s background in global telecommunications and extensive financial leadership experience, he is an excellent addition to our senior leadership team,” said White. “He has thrived in high-growth, high-performance environments and his significant expertise will be invaluable as we continue to advance our 5G-ready fiber networks in New York City and beyond.”

In his new role, Garte will be responsible for overseeing the financial strategy and leadership of the company, including financial planning and analysis, accounting and IT.

“Now is an exciting time to join Transit Wireless,” said Garte. “The demand for connectivity continues to increase, and Transit Wireless is acutely positioned to meet this need. At a time when public resources are so stretched, we provide innovative 5G technologies without adding any fiscal strain on the government or taxpayers.”
