Rockford Mass Transit District (RMTD) has promoted Dan Engelkes to director of operations and Ron Priddy to operations manager.
In this position, Engelkes will be responsible for oversight of transit operations, vehicle maintenance and facility maintenance in addition to continuing as the RMTD risk manager.
Engelkes brings an extensive amount of transit industry knowledge and experience in the areas of transit vehicle maintenance, facility maintenance and safety and risk management to the position. Engelkes began his career with the district in May 1987 and has spent the past 33 years working as a valued team member of RMTD.
Priddy will be overseeing the day-to-day functions of all RMTD routes, schedules, operators and paratransit services. Prior to being named operations manager, Priddy served as fixed route supervisor of operations. He has also performed the duties of a fixed route operator. He started his career at RMTD in 2003 as a paratransit operator.
