Michael Ledesma has been selected by the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority (CCRTA) to be the director of transportation.
“We are pleased that Mr. Ledesma is joining the CCRTA. He will bring a wealth of transportation knowledge and experience to the organization,” said Jorge Cruz-Aedo, CEO, CCRTA.
Ledesma started his 34-year career in public transportation as a bus operator at VIA Metropolitan Transit in San Antonio, Texas. Ledesma served in a variety of operational roles before retiring from VIA Metropolitan Transit as the manager of bus service transportation.
In addition to his duties of overseeing VIA’s fixed route bus service, Ledesma assisted with the launch of bus rapid transit service and was the project manager for VIAlink, a mobility on demand service.
Ledesma received his Bachelor in Business Administration and Master in Public Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
