TranSystems Corp. has welcomed Thomas Ionta, PE, as vice resident and senior project manager in the company’s Santa Ana, California, office.
Ionta brings more than 38 years of experience managing, planning and designing highway and infrastructure improvement projects. He has worked on many highway and roadway projects, including projects for the California Department of Transportation, Orange County Transportation Authority, Riverside County Transportation Commission, and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority in southern California.
“Tom brings with him an excellent reputation in Southern California delivering highway projects,” said Rich Markwith, governments market sector leader. “His relationships and knowledge of the transportation market will be a great addition to strengthen our TranSystems team and presence.”
Ionta holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Connecticut, and is registered as a Professional Engineer in California, New York, and Connecticut.s
