Urban Engineers has announced that Andrew Chakmakjian has been promoted to vice president and director of corporate development. He has been with the firm for more than six years, and previously served as the firm’s proposal manager.
“It is exciting to promote a talented and experienced professional like Andrew in our firm,” said Urban President Kenneth R. Fulmer, PE. “He has been a proven leader in his department and trusted advisor on proposal and marketing initiatives. He is the ideal choice for this role.”
In his new position, Chakmakjian will oversee Urban’s corporate development department, which includes all of the firm’s proposal, collateral, and marketing initiatives, as well as Urban Video Productions, the firm’s in-house videography team. He has more than 10 years of experience in the A/E/C industry and has served in various capacities, giving him intimate knowledge of the needs and capabilities of Urban. The relationships he has developed throughout Urban speak to his ability to excel within a firm of various disciplines and locations. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Temple University and has volunteered his time for KenCrest, a non-profit human services agency that supports people with intellectual disabilities and autism.
