LAN Promotes Warren Green, P.E., to Chief Technical Officer

Green, who is one of the firm’s vice presidents, will serve as the technical liaison across all of the firm’s business groups, assist with staffing plans to assure project quality, actively participate in project pursuits, develop and oversee technical presentations and publications, as well as assist with defining and implementing technical training. He also will assume the role of LAN’s corporate quality officer to assure overall quality and technical capabilities throughout the firm.  Previously, Green served as the director of one of LAN’s infrastructure business groups, where he oversaw and coordinated business development efforts, production activities and operations.

Green brings 38 years of experience in the engineering management and supervision of complex drinking water supply and treatment projects, totaling more than $1 billion. He has worked for numerous water systems across the country, managing the design and construction of massive raw water pumping stations, water treatment plants, intake structures, storage facilities as well as hundreds of miles of water transmission mains. Since joining LAN in 2008 as the director of its Midwest region, Green has rapidly expanded the firm’s water supply and transmission services.

Green also serves on a number of nationally-renowned committees. He is an active member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He serves as the chair of the AWWA Stainless Steel Pipe Standards Committee, co-chair of the AWWA Steel Water Pipe Manufacturers Technical Advisory Committee, is a former member of the AWWA Steel Pipe Standards Committee, and a former member of the AWWA Butterfly Valve Standard Committee.

Green holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Mississippi State University. He is a registered professional engineer in the states of Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Mississippi, Michigan, Arizona, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Texas.
