The city of San Luis Obispo’s SLO Transit system is rolling out additional bus service in November.

The city of San Luis Obispo’s SLO Transit system is rolling out additional bus service in November. There are four major service changes that will provide more public transit options for area residents.

The first in a series of changes is that, as of November 2nd, SLO Transit’s Route 1A will now service the MindBody campus and the new terminal at San Luis Obispo County’s regional airport on hourly frequencies; starting from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM on weekdays and from 8:15 AM to 8:00 PM on weekends (See published service schedule for details and exceptions). This change to the 1A route will provide additional travel options for commuters traveling to and from the major employment sites (e.g. Mindbody and the adjacent industrial park) and for travelers using the regional airport.

The second change, effective November 13th, SLO Transit Route 3A will increase from hourly schedules to half hour schedules from 6 AM to 1 PM on weekdays and in order to assist those traveling in the direction of CalPoly University in the mornings. After 1 PM the route will return to its hourly frequency.

The third change is for SLO Transit Route 3B which will also increase from hourly schedules to half-hour schedules from 1 PM to 7:30 PM to assist those traveling from the University in the afternoons.

The fourth and final change, also effective November 13th, SLO Transit will be expanding the service hours offered by its Routes 3B and 4B beyond 6:40 to to 10:30 PM.
