In its 14th annual awards, BuildingGreen has named the bike systems from Duo-Gard Industries as one of the Top 10 Green Building Products for 2016. These systems include bike shelters, parking and storage components. The award was presented at Greenbuild 2015.
“We encourage bicycling to work because it is not only healthy, but it also contributes to better outdoor air quality and is the ‘low-hanging fruit’ in terms of saving energy in the workplace,” said Brent Ehrlich, BuildingGreen’s products and materials specialist. “Having secure storage for valuable bicycles is critical for supporting these commuters.”
Ehrlich cited Duo-Gard’s wide range of bike shelter styles and materials, including options for integrated photovoltaics.
