Transport Security Expo Forms Partnership with MEI

Aug. 17, 2015

For a fourth consecutive year, Transport Security Expo is forming a partnership with Major Events International (MEI) in order to highlight the importance of protecting the transport networks on which the security of all major events depend.

Major Events Transport Security is one of the key themes for this year’s event and within the exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to view the latest technologies from many of the world’s leading manufacturers, systems integrators and SMEs. In addition, the event’s conference programme will feature a number of leading experts discussing the latest developments in this critical area of security in which the UK has an enviable record of excellence.

Speaking about the partnership, MEI’s Chief Executive Dennis Mills, commented, “We are delighted to partner with Transport Security Expo for a fourth consecutive year. With the Major Event Transport Security theme becoming even more integral to the event, we view this as the leading forum to share knowledge and experience in this sector. We look forward to exhibiting alongside our members at this year’s show.”

Peter Jones, CEO of Nineteen Events, the planners and organisers of Transport Security Expo, added, “Transport infrastructure is integral to the planning and successful preparation of major events.  Major events have long been an iconic target for terrorist and organised criminal gangs and as such their safety and security remain a top priority for governments and organisers. From mega events such as Royal Weddings, Olympics & Paralympics and World Summits to major Music Festivals, Sporting Events and Political Rallies, for those stakeholders charged with the responsibility of security, Transport Security Expo 2015 will be an invaluable visit.”
