MDOT Seeks Comments on 2040 MI Transportation Plan

Aug. 14, 2015

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) seeks public comment by Sept. 30, on the public involvement component of the state long-range transportation plan, known as MI Transportation Plan.

MDOT will use webinars, public meetings, the Internet and other outreach tools to involve the public in the review of the current plan and supporting documents. The public's input will help MDOT decide if the current data, assumptions and strategies for the state's transportation system are valid for extending the current 2035 planning horizon to 2040.

Periodic evaluation of the 20-year planning horizon is required by federal transportation planning regulations.
