Walter Surface Technologies announced that it has been appointed to the board of directors of Abinox, the Stainless Steel Association of Brazil. Jorge Farsky the managing director of Walter Brazil, will as assume the role of communications director of Abinox, effective immediately.
Abinox - the Brazilian Stainless Steel Association is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the usage of stainless steel in the Brazilian market. Based in São Paulo, the organization provides its members with marketing support programs, industry training, sponsors education seminars and assists in the development and promotion of the industry.
Farsky has served as managing director for Walter Brazil since the regional office opened in 1996. He has been instrumental in strategically leading Walter’s success in the region. His 25 years of broad experience across the metal working industry will assist with the association’s mission.
